The India Gate is a war memorial, which was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who was the most popular designer and Europe’s foremost architect for the war memorials at that time It brings the image of the architectural style of the Triumphal Arch, following the style of Arch of Constantine outside the Colosseum in Rome, Arc de Triomphe in Paris and sometimes it is also compared to the Gateway of India in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

A simple structure was built beneath the Memorial Archway, capped by a war helmet and bounded by four eternal flames. This structure is known as Amar Jawan Jyoti or the Flame of the Immortal Soldier. It is India’s Tomb of the Unknown Soldier since 1971.

2. No Backdrop

There are no backdrops but the clean roads. Also India Gate is covered by the boundaries and can not be passed through. So The couples are left with just a few backgrounds, adding no more attractions in the background

3. No Props

Props are yet another problem that India Gate gives the couple. Lack of props and the backdrops reduces the elements of beautification of the shoot. In today’s trends props have become one of the important things to be used in a Pre wedding shoot, thus the unavailability of the props is one of the major problems.

4.Unavailability of changing rooms

There is no changing room around India Gate which leaves the only option for the couples to come shoot ready from their respective homes or hotels if are from outside Delhi. This leads them to a set tone of skin and dress for the whole pre wedding shoot.

5. Style of Dresses

The unavailability of the changing rooms not only forces the couple to come shoot ready but also leads them to stay and complete the shoot in single outfit. As for changing the outfits they might go back to their places or use a public washroom which can make them uncomfortable.

6. No Privacy

India Gate is a public place and the couple must deal with the lack of privacy it offers. The partners has to shoot in the presence of other people; locals or visitors. It can cause long shoots because of the changing places or waiting for a desired shot.

7. Drone Camera

Just like the permission for the pre wedding shoot, the team has to take permission for the use of drone cameras. As it might be taken a different prospect. The situations and timings may affect the permission as well.

8. No Restaurants

The nearest and relevant restaurant is also 11 or 12 kms away from the India Gate. The couple has to choose the timing of the shoot accordingly, so that they don't have to make poses while they need food. Going for the restaurants between the shoot can hinder the flow and leads to the unwanted shots and moods.

Early winter morning can be foggy and can hinder the pre wedding shoot as well. Generally, the sunset and night visit is preferable as to enjoy the view of the India Gate.
