Planning a pre-wedding shoot in your own city is much more viable than commuting to a different city or country. The costs of travel and lodging are on you, which would eventually add up to the main expense.

Theme and Set-up

The total cost also depends on the theme and setup that you want for your pre-wedding shoot. The majority of places, whether in your nearby area or not, will charge some amount for a photo or video shoot above the other costs. This can be on an hourly or per-day basis. There are a lot of pre-wedding photoshoot venues like Picturevilla and Picture Town, which have pre-built setups and charge anywhere between Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 50,000 per day.

Photographers

Different photographers charge different fees. A small-time or beginner photographer will charge anything between Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 for a pre-wedding shoot. Mid to high-level photographers can charge anything from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000. Professional and experienced photographers might charge above Rs. 50,000 per day. Some photographers might even be willing to charge on an hourly basis. Please note that the charges for video and photos will be separate and different, depending on the photographer you choose.

Make-up and Hair 

It is up to you if you want to do your own makeup or employ a makeup artist for your pre-wedding shoot. MUA can charge anywhere from Rs. 4000 per day. Many wedding photography companies also include makeup and hair services in their packages.

Outfits and Accessories

Again, it’s totally up to you if you want to don your own clothes and accessories, buy new ones, or rent them from outside.

Props

Discuss with your photographer if any kind of props should be included in your pre-wedding shoot according to your selected theme. If they already have those props, you can always request that they get them. Otherwise, you’ll have to pay to source them from outside.
