ABOUT THE LOCATION

The “Abode Of Tigers” is what the name Nahargarh suggests. According to popular beliefs Nahar stands for Nahar Singh Bhomia whose spirit was believed to stop the construction of the fort. Prayers for him to leave the city were successful on a condition that the fort was named after him.

Built in the 17th century it was extended in the 18th century which makes it a huge place for couples to have a surreal pre-wedding shoot. The fort is located on the ridge of the Aravali hills giving a pristine view of the city. The magnificent view of the entire city is a pleasure to the eyes. .

The not so maintained palaces give out the best backdrops.

The fort has many structures within. There are two temples of which one is dedicated to Nahar Singh. A 12 storey building named Madhavendra Bhavan and Diwan-I-Aam which was the place where the kings heard out the grievances of the public. These three places are the most preferred for clicking pictures. .

Nahargarh fort has a long history and it is also portraying it with various films being shot here. Some of movies whose main location was Naharagarh were Jodha Akbar, Rang De Basanti, Shudh Desi Romance etc.

Pre wedding shoots are quite popular over here. The palace has twelve identical apartments which apparently belonged to the 12 wives of the king. There are huge and long passage ways for which the fort is known for. The fort was actually built to save the royal family from attacks and it has a secret passage way which leads to the city palace in Jaipur.

Palaces are the most beautiful place to get pre-wedding shoots done. Saving the memories in the historical palaces is the perfect thing about them.

There is an open air restaurant inside the Mahal which can satisfy your urge of trying exotic Rajasthani food. Of course you will need a big thali after a tiring day of shoot.

THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE DECIDING

POINTS NOT IN FAVOUR

1. Weather

You know your choice of place is in Rajasthan. The weather here is sunny and hot forever. Choose the time of the year when the weather is not much of a problem for shooting. It can be very hectic and tiring if it is scorching hot. The heat can actually mess up your outfit and can ruin your long hours taken for picture perfect makeup.

2. Changing Outfits Is A Problem

It can be problematic to change outfits as there are no changing rooms. Only the washrooms can be used for changing of outfits. Carry outfits and makeups which are easy to handle and will not mess up the entire day

3. Restriction On Photography

There are restrictions on photography. You are not allowed to shoot in the entire palace. According to the date of your shoot and the availability of the location you are designated a place to shoot in the palace. Drones and helicams are also not allowed.
