Instructions for the editor cum shoot Manager (Freelancer Editor or Full Time Office Editor) :

Instead of just giving freelance video editing to the editors, we also send them as project manager on the all wedding events. For anyone to work as a freelance editor with us, he/she will be required to go through this document. He/she will be required:

1. To sign Terms and conditions of Video Tailor.
2. Needs to submit 1 photocopy of ID Proof.
3. Need to give a video interview to our team.

Please see, We hire freelance editors only the ones, who are comfortable in working as Project Manager at our events. They are required to manage the events, in terms of coordination between the team and the client. Separate payment will be made for project management for each event.

Project Manager will take at least 5 days in prior:

New Hard drive from Video Tailor Team or he/she can buy the hard drive by himself, and submit the same to us, and Video Tailor will pay him/her Rs 3,800 for 1 TB Hard drive.
Visiting cards and Extra T-shirts/Hoodies (in case if the team needs it).
Booking sheet of the client with the team assigned will be shared with him.
His/her payment will be made once he/she submits the data to the Video Tailor Team.
Also, the Shoot Manager is required to be in the COAT assigned to him.

Responsibilities:

Before the shoot:

Atleast 5 days before the shoot, you should have.

Your Coat for the shoot
Hard disk either from VT or by yourself.
Take hoodies/t shirts from Video Tailor, if any freelancer has not been given his hoodie or t shirt ever.
One day before the shoot, call each of the team member, to assure that they are reaching on the shoot on time.

SCRIPT/QUESTIONS FOR INTERVIEWS

On the shoot:

Reach ON TIME, before freelancers/partners reach there.
On reaching the shoot, introduce yourself to the client, and tell them for any requirement or instruction they can reach to you.
Make all freelancers aware of each other. Sometimes partners/freelancers dont know the team.
You need to ask client for interviews. Also, inform them interviews if not done now, it will not be possible to take them after the shoot.
Need to take complete data of the team, and check the data that whether it is copied properly or not.
Get it signed from each freelancer that the data has been copied and they will keep a copy of the data.
When the data is copied, make a separate folder for interviews. (Mandatory).
Click behind the scenes photos as the team needs to be in the dress code. Make a folder called “Behind the scenes” and update that in the data.
Make sure that everyone has the same correct time in camera (for the ease of editing).
Leaving the senior team members, do check the equipments of the partners. They all should have full frame cameras.

After the shoot:

Give the data of the complete shoot to VT Team within 2-3 days of the final shoot.
Payment of freelancers as well as you on the shoot day, will be cleared after you submit the shoot data to VT Team, and once its back up is also created

Penalties:

Penalty on reaching late	Rs 1000
Penalty on not copying the data of all partners	Rs 500
Penalty on client complaints	Rs 1000
Penalty when the team is not in dress	Rs 500
Penalty when you are not in dress code	Rs 1000
Penalty for not making efforts for interviews.	Rs 1000
Penalty for not taking behind the scenes.	Rs 500
Penalty for not giving data to VT Team on time	Rs 500 (after 4 days of the shoot). Rs 1000 if the data is given after 8 days of the shoot

Payment will depend on his rating. Rating will be the average of both rating given by client as well as video tailor team. VT Team will give rating on the basis of punctuality, quality of the work delivered and the level of co ordination with the client.

Shoot Managers cum Editors with rating of 4.5 to 5 star rating:

For Project Management, payment is as under. For Weddings, it’s Rs 3,000, for Sagan it is Rs 2,000 and for Small Functions it is Rs 1,000. Project Manager is not required to go on morning function of the wedding. But he needs to make sure that the team assigned is on time and has reached the location.

For eg: If on wedding, there were 3 photographers, 3 videographers and on sagan there were 2 photographers, and 2 videographers, and there was an additional small mehendi function with 1 photographer and 1 videographer, the payment will be as under :

For destination weddings, Project Manager will be paid Rs 3,000/day.
You will be paid Rs 1,000 for edit per photographer or per videographer

Shoot Managers cum Editors with rating of 3.0 to 3.5 star rating:

You will be paid Rs Rs 500 per photographer or per videographer, when your rating is from 3.0 to 3.5
For destination weddings, Project Manager will be paid Rs 2,000/day.

Data needs to be submitted within 2 days of the wedding. If the data is submitted later then that, penalty of Rs 1,000/day will levy. Making a second copy of the data is very very important for us, hence this penalty is strict.

At the time of payment of project management:

He needs to submit the complete raw data.
Needs to get it signed from each freelancer (payment).
Behind the scenes from the shoot (to check if the team was in VT Dress).

Rs 200/day will be deducted for delay in edit.

We will provide the contact details of the client to the editor and vice versa too. Editor can coordinate with the client directly as well.

If for changes, client wants to sit with the editor, then editor can invite the client in our Video Tailor office and can do the meeting with the client there.

Perks:

5 star rating will lead to repeat hiring of the Editor cum Project Manager.
And if your video is selected by Video Tailor Team for youtube and it gets more than 20,000 organic views, then Rs 2,000 will be awarded to the editor and if reaches more than 50,000 organic views (Rs 3,000 will be awarded to the editor) and if it reaches more than 1,00,000 organic views, then Rs 5,000 will be given as award.
